They participated with 6 teams in Flickor 04, Flickor 05, Flickor 07 and Flickor 08 respectively. The team in Flickor 07 made it to the the Semi final in A-slutspel, but lost it against H43 Lund HF 2 by 15-18. In addition to this, IFK Malmö Handboll have participated in Malmöspelen before. During Malmöspelen 2016, IFK Malmö had 15 teams playing in 11 out of Malmöspelens all 26 categories. The team in Pojkar 03 made it to the the Final in A-slutspeland won it over LUGI HF 1 by 16-15. IFK Malmö originates from Malmö, which is the same city as where Malmöspelen takes place.
