Ljunghusen HK was one of 51 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Malmöspelen 2016. They participated with one team in Pojkar 02.
In addition to Ljunghusen HK, 8 other teams played in Pojkar 02. They were divided into 2 different groups, whereof Ljunghusen HK could be found in Group B together with Ystads IF Handboll 2, Staffanstorps HK and LUGI HF. Ljunghusen HK made it to B-slutspel after reaching 4:th place in Group B. Once in the playoff they made it all the way to the Final, but lost it against Staffanstorps HK with 12-14. Thereby Ljunghusen HK finished second in P02 B-slutspel during Malmöspelen 2016. Ljunghusen comes from Höllviken which lies approximately 22 km from Malmö, where Malmöspelen takes place.
