Svedala HK was one of 51 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Malmöspelen 2016. They participated with two teams in Pojkar 02 and Pojkar 05 respectively. The team in Pojkar 02 made it to the the Semi final in B-slutspel, but lost it against Ljunghusen HK by 12-18.
In addition to this, Svedala HK have participated in Malmöspelen before. During Malmöspelen 2015, Svedala had two teams playing in Pojkar 02 and Pojkar 05 respectively. The team in Pojkar 02 made it to the the Final in B-slutspeland won it over Eslövs HF by 8-5. Svedala comes from Svedala which lies approximately 17 km from Malmö, where Malmöspelen takes place. The area around Svedala does also provide 39 additional clubs participating during Malmöspelen 2016 (Among others: Ljunghusens HK, Dalhems IF, IFK Klagshamn, Hk Ankaret, Bulltoftaskolan, H43 Lund, Apelgårdsskolan, Bäckagårdsskolan 4A, H43 Lund Centrum and IFK Malmö Handboll).
