Veberöds HK was one of 51 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Malmöspelen 2016. They participated with three teams in Pojkar 07 and Flickor 04 respectively. The team in Flickor 04 made it to the the 1/4 Final in A-slutspel, but lost it against H43 Lund ÖT by 8-11.
In addition to this, Veberöds HK have participated in Malmöspelen before. During Malmöspelen 2015, Veberöds had three teams playing in Flickor 02 and Flickor 04 respectively. The team in Flickor 02 made it to the the Semi final in B-slutspel, but lost it against LUGI 2 by 3-12. Veberöds comes from Veberöd which lies approximately 31 km from Malmö, where Malmöspelen takes place. The area around Veberöd does also provide 39 additional clubs participating during Malmöspelen 2016 (Among others: Dalhems IF, IFK Klagshamn, Hk Ankaret, Bulltoftaskolan, Svedala HK, H43 Lund, Apelgårdsskolan, Bäckagårdsskolan 4A, H43 Lund Centrum and H65 Höör).
