Staffanstorps HK was one of 51 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Malmöspelen 2016. They participated with 6 teams in Pojkar 02, Pojkar 04, Pojkar 06, Flickor 02 and Flickor 07 respectively. The team in Flickor 02 made it to the the Final in A-slutspel, but lost it against LUGI HF 2 by 10-13.
In addition to this, Staffanstorps HK have participated in Malmöspelen before. During Malmöspelen 2015, Staffanstorps had 7 teams playing in Pojkar 02, Pojkar 04, Flickor 02, Flickor 03 and Flickor 05 respectively. The team in Flickor 02 made it to the the Final in A-slutspel, but lost it against IFK Malmö Handboll by 10-11. Staffanstorps comes from Staffanstorp which lies approximately 14 km from Malmö, where Malmöspelen takes place. The area around Staffanstorp does also provide 39 additional clubs participating during Malmöspelen 2016 (Among others: Ljunghusens HK, Dalhems IF, IFK Klagshamn, Hk Ankaret, Bulltoftaskolan, Svedala HK, H43 Lund, Apelgårdsskolan, Bäckagårdsskolan 4A and H43 Lund Centrum).
