OV Helsingborg was one of 34 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Malmöspelen 2017. They participated with two teams in Pojkar 05 and Flickor 05 respectively. The team in Flickor 05 made it to the the Final in A-slutspeland won it over HK Ankaret Pest by 5-4.
In addition to this, OV Helsingborg have participated in Malmöspelen before. During Malmöspelen 2016, OV Helsingborg had 9 teams playing in Herrar öppenklass, Pojkar 03, Pojkar 05, Flickor 02, Flickor 04 and Flickor 05 respectively. Three teams played until Final in A-slutspel; Pojkar 05 1 won over H43 1 by 7-6, Flickor 04 won over Dalhems IF 2 by 8-6 and Herrar öppenklass lost against Trelleborg HBK Elit by 7-17. OV Helsingborg comes from Helsingborg which lies approximately 53 km from Malmö, where Malmöspelen takes place. Other than OV Helsingborg, the club Kävlinge HK does also originate from the area around Helsingborg.
