Kävlinge HK was one of 34 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Malmöspelen 2017. They participated with one team in Flickor 05.
In addition to Kävlinge HK, 7 other teams played in Flickor 05. They were divided into 2 different groups, whereof Kävlinge HK could be found in Group B together with Lugi HF 2, IFK Malmö handboll and HK Ankaret Kolera. Kävlinge HK continued to B-slutspel after reaching 3:rd place in Group B. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Dalhems IF with 8-9. In the Final, Lugi HF 1 won over Dalhems IF and became the winner of B-slutspel in Flickor 05. Kävlinge comes from Kävlinge which lies approximately 22 km from Malmö, where Malmöspelen takes place.
