Staffanstorps HK was one of 34 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Malmöspelen 2017. They participated with two teams in Pojkar 04 and Flickor 03 respectively. Two teams played until in Gruppspel; Flickor 03 lost against IFK Klagshamn by 11-16 and Pojkar 04 lost against HK Malmö / Ljunghusen 2 by 8-28.
In addition to this, Staffanstorps HK have participated in Malmöspelen before. During Malmöspelen 2016, Staffanstorps had 6 teams playing in Pojkar 02, Pojkar 04, Pojkar 06, Flickor 02 and Flickor 07 respectively. The team in Flickor 02 made it to the the Final in A-slutspel, but lost it against LUGI HF 2 by 10-13. Staffanstorps comes from Staffanstorp which lies approximately 14 km from Malmö, where Malmöspelen takes place. The area around Staffanstorp does also provide 29 additional clubs participating during Malmöspelen 2017 (Among others: Skurups Handboll, IFK Klagshamn, H43 Lund, HK Malmö, Trelleborg HBK, Eslövs Hf, HK Ankaret, IFK-Malmö, Stapelbäddsskolan and Svedala HK).
