Veberöds HK was one of 34 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Malmöspelen 2017. They participated with three teams in Flickor 04 and Flickor 08 respectively. The team in Flickor 04 made it to the the Final in B-slutspel, but lost it against H65 Höör 1 by 6-11.
In addition to this, Veberöds HK have participated in Malmöspelen before. During Malmöspelen 2016, Veberöds had three teams playing in Pojkar 07 and Flickor 04 respectively. The team in Flickor 04 made it to the the 1/4 Final in A-slutspel, but lost it against H43 Lund ÖT by 8-11. Veberöds comes from Veberöd which lies approximately 31 km from Malmö, where Malmöspelen takes place. The area around Veberöd does also provide 28 additional clubs participating during Malmöspelen 2017 (Among others: Skurups Handboll, IFK Klagshamn, H43 Lund, HK Malmö, Trelleborg HBK, H65 Höör, Eslövs Hf, HK Ankaret, IFK-Malmö and Stapelbäddsskolan).
