They participated with 13 teams in Pojkar 05, Pojkar 07, Pojkar 08, Flickor 05, Flickor 06, Flickor 07 and Flickor 08 respectively. The team in Pojkar 07 made it to the the Final in A-slutspel, but lost it against Trelleborg HBK by 19-27. In addition to this, HK Ankaret have participated in Malmöspelen before. During Malmöspelen 2016, Ankaret had 20 teams playing in 9 out of Malmöspelens all 26 categories. Two teams played until Final in A-slutspel; Pojkar 04 1 won over HK Malmö by 13-7 but Flickor 03 2 lost against Kristianstad HK by 6-14. Ankaret comes from Bjärred which lies approximately 14 km from Malmö, where Malmöspelen takes place. The area around Bjärred does also provide 26 additional clubs participating during Malmöspelen 2017 (Among others: IFK Klagshamn, H43 Lund, HK Malmö, Eslövs Hf, IFK-Malmö, Stapelbäddsskolan, Svedala HK, LHK, IFK Malmö Handboll and Kävlinge HK).
