In addition to IFK Malmö Handboll, 7 other teams played in Flickor 02. They were divided into 2 different groups, whereof IFK Malmö Handboll could be found in Group B together with LUGI 1, Staffanstorps HK and Veberöds HK.
IFK Malmö Handboll made it to A-slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group B. Once in the playoff they won every match inluding the Final against Staffanstorps HK, which they won with 11-10.
