OV Helsingborg was one of 30 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Malmöspelen 2015. They participated with four teams in Pojkar 05, Flickor 00 and Flickor 04 respectively. The team in Pojkar 05 made it to the the Final in A-slutspeland won it over HK Malmö by 21-17.

In addition to this, OV Helsingborg have participated in Malmöspelen before. During Malmöspelen 2014, OV Helsingborg had 11 teams playing in Pojkar 00, Pojkar 05, Pojkar 97, Flickor 00, Flickor 02, Flickor 04 and Flickor 05 respectively. The team in Pojkar 97 made it to the the Final in A-slutspeland won it over IFK Malmö Handboll 1 by 14-13.

OV Helsingborg comes from Helsingborg which lies approximately 53 km from Malmö, where Malmöspelen takes place. The area around Helsingborg does also provide three additional clubs participating during Malmöspelen 2015 (HK Ankaret, Kävlinge HK and GW Landskrona).
